Marnus Broodryk is the founder and managing director of The Beancounter. He completed his articles at a medium size auditing firm and has extensive experience in auditing, taxation and accounting. Marnus is a Pastel specialist and an accounting genius, he is an active entrepreneur, a property guru and a business partner that you would want in your team!
Farren Maré is a partner at The Beancounter Business Solutions. Completed his BCom degree through University Of Pretoria in 2008 , having majored in Financial Management, Entrepreneurship and Business Management. After varsity he worked in the heart of Softline Pastel where his talent for the Pastel program was discovered, quickly escalating the ranks. He is a Pastel Product Specialist, able to tackle any error and provide any solution , the best person to assist you!
Amanda de Villiers matriculated in 2005 and started working at an accounting firm as a trainee accountant. After two years in the accounting industry she started her articles at an audit firm in Randburg. She is currently completing her B.Compt degree through Unisa and fulfills the role of accountant at The Beancounter. She is a loyal and hardworking individual, and she does not shy away from any challenge in business.
Charnette Wanty matriculated in 2007, where she earned herself 3 distinctions in Mathematics, Accounting and Business Economics – she chose to study BCompt Business Management. She graduated in 2010 at the University of Pretoria who also honored her with the Golden Key Award. She joins The Beancounter ready to tackle the accounting world as a Junior Accountant. If there is a problem, be sure that she will try and solve it to the best of her ability and with the biggest smile.
Duan Wanty matriculated with 7 distinctions, then went to further his studies at the University of Pretoria and completed his BA Drama degree in 2007. After graduation he went on to freelance in the entertainment industry where he did various work as an actor and dancer. He is currently acting as administrative manager in Johannesburg and with his knowledge of internet businesses and marketing, plans to take The Beancounter to a whole new level.
Margaret Matsaneng tells you at first glance that she is not your average tea lady. She is a stylish and fun lady who always has something new to show off, and a funny story to share with everyone. Besides working for The Beancounter she has her own business on the side and would like to own her own shoe and handbag store in the near future. Margaret has her own special way of doing things and she is most certainly loved by everyone on the team.
Esmé Marais started her accounting career in 1988 at an auditing firm in Harrismith where she worked 17 years and obtained extensive experience in different industries. She is now managing The Beancounter in the Harrismith office and is also involved in a few other business ventures. Esmé is very passionate about charity work and is in charge of The Beancounter’s community projects. Esmé believes in the power of professional service and strives to deliver exactly that.
Gert Badenhorst matriculated and started working at Vos Steyn van Zyl, where he also finished his articles. Gert worked independently and individually with his own clients for a full two years. During the course of this time and the direct contact with is clients, Gert managed to accumulate a lot of knowledge & experience of the everyday activities of any business. Currently he is finishing his B.compt Degree through Unisa and is working for as a Senior Accountant at the Harrismith office.
Karisma Gie matriculated at Hentie Cilliers High School in Virginia, Karisma had training as a professional secretary and started her career in the retail industry. She and her husband, Justin, moved to Harrismith where she joined The Beancounter’s Harrismith office in April 2009. She is currently a trainee accountant and acts as a personal assistant to senior staff. A friendly, dedicated staff member always ready to assist.
Miriam Moloi joined The Beancounter with an immense amount of positive attitude and has never stopped influencing everyone else with that attitude. She always wears a smile and never have you seen someone complete her duties with the amount of energy that she does. Miriam enjoys being part of the team and it is her desire to maintain good relationships with every single person that she crosses paths with, whether it is in personal or professional capacity.
